After surviving the ongoing delays brought on by the Covid pandemic and the subsequent delays brought on by a lack of resources in the visual effects departments, it would appear that Marvel Studios has now discovered itself with yet another reason to put off some of their major upcoming releases. Deadpool 3, which was recently announced, and Avengers: Secret Wars, which serves as the conclusion to the Multiverse Saga, all appear to have suffered as a result of the loss of Blade director Bassam Tariq and the subsequent need to take some time to regroup on the Mahershala Ali film.
A new release schedule for the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the end result of all this, with some films being pushed back further than others. Blade will have the longest of these delays, moving from its original release date of November 3, 2023, to September 6, 2024, as you might expect. Originally, this is the occasion on which Deadpool will finally make his MCU debut, but that appearance has been postponed to November 8, 2024.
Later on, the Fantastic Four movie will now be released on February 14, 2025, three months later than originally planned. Meanwhile, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will still be released on May 2, 2025, but fans will now have to wait longer than before between the last two Avengers films because Avengers: Secret Wars has been pushed back from November 7, 2025, to May 1, 2026.
There Are Still Several Marvel Movies That Have Not Been Revealed

The fundamentals of Phase Six have been laid out by Kevin Feige over the past few months, but he hasn’t yet revealed all of Marvel’s trade secrets. Since Avengers: Secret Wars will no longer be released until May 2026, there will now be a number of movies that will be released in between the two Avengers films that initially appeared to be wrapping up the Multiverse Saga as a two-parter. Included in this are the untitled releases scheduled for July 25, 2025; November 7, 2025; and February 13, 2026. Two more films are scheduled to be released on July 24 and November 6, respectively, in the year 2026.
Overall, it is quite interesting that there was originally only one film scheduled to release between the two sizable Avengers films, much like how Phase Three played its final cards. However, with two additional movies now scheduled between The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars, there is plenty of time to speculate about what these films may be and how they may be significant to the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga.
Given that Multiverse of Madness’ post-credits scene hinted at Strange going on another multiverse adventure, it is likely that Doctor Strange 3 will be one of these films. Additionally, Marvel recently revealed that Armor Wars will be a theatrical release rather than a Disney+ series. Then there are movies like Shang-Chi 2, Spider-Man 4, Eternals 2, and Thor 5. All of these movies could release in the upcoming years.
Below is the list of all newly scheduled release dates,
- Blade – September 6, 2024
- Deadpool 3 – November 8, 2024
- Fantastic Four – February 14, 2025
- Avengers: The Kang Dynasty – May 2, 2025
- Avengers: Secret Wars – May 2, 2025
