The Princess Diaries 3 is eventually in development at Disney after nearly two decades of talks. However, with Mia’s father, Phillipe, still alive and causing scandal in The Princess Diaries, Volume XI: Royal Wedding, the third film in progress would likely have to craft an original story rather than turning to the source material.
