Zendaya, the star of Euphoria, expresses her hopes for season 3. Rue Bennett, played by Zendaya, has experienced a lot of turmoil in the popular HBO teen drama created by Sam Levinson. The series’ high point, Euphoria season 2 episode 5, which shows Rue attempting to flee what she perceives as a hellish intervention from her friends and family, maybe where this is most clearly illustrated. The episode is a testament to Zendaya’s skill and to what Levinson excels at, balancing the typical high school drama of love triangles and family disputes with a story of addiction that is frequently upsetting to watch.
Together with her Euphoria co-stars Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, & Maude Apatow, Zendaya spoke at a special screening of the episode, “Stand Still Like the Hummingbird,” about what she hopes to see when the HBO program returns for season 3. The two-time Emmy winner opened up about how his own struggles with addiction served as inspiration for Rue’s struggles with addiction and how many viewers have benefited from her journey. Zendaya ends by expressing her hope that her character will be happy in the upcoming episodes. She said the following, as quoted by THR:
“I know that she can do it because Sam wrote it, and Sam is Rue, and he’s done it. He’s proof that there is hope for Rue and anyone like Rue, and from the beautiful letters and people who have reached out — I am so grateful for those experiences when somebody comes up to me, and they speak about Rue and how they’ve connected to her or whatever part of their healing journey she has been able to be a part of. To me that is the greatest, greatest gift I can ever ask, it gives me euphoria and purpose in what I do. I just hope for a little bit of joy and for her just be able to breathe and love without the fear of losing. I mean she’s gonna have to go through some things, yes, but you know, we’ll get there.”
What To Anticipate From Euphoria Season 3

The cast and crew have confirmed that season 3 of the show will start filming as soon as possible in 2023, probably in the first few months of the year. The fans can anticipate some consequences from Ashtray’s (likely) death based on the Euphoria season 2 finale. Additionally, there is unresolved drama between Cassie and Maddy and the tumultuous relationship between Cassie and Nate. However, there is no guarantee that the show will address these specific plot lines; it has been suggested that a time jump may occur.
The cast has discussed some of the things they would like to see, despite remaining mum about where Euphoria will go next. Zendaya has expressed her desire for the characters in Euphoria to graduate from high school. She added that she aspires to take the reins of directing an episode. Fans should have a lot to look forward to as production picks up in the upcoming months, even though details are still scarce.
The cast of Euphoria has emerged as the most recognizable young actors in Hollywood right now, and many have begun to join other major projects, but it’s unclear what will happen after season 3. Because of this, some viewers have hypothesized that the show might not have a long future. Zendaya hopes for Rue to have a happy sendoff despite the fact that that is still uncertain.
