Pom Klementieff Respond To Joining The Cast Of Mission: Impossible 7

While fans wait for the next installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise, Guardians of the Galaxy’s Mantis Star Pom Klementieff expresses her reaction to joining the cast of Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One. Plot details for the next installment in Tom Cruise’s franchise are currently unknown, but it is expected to pit IMF agent Ethan Hunt against another world-threatening foe, this time with the assistance of a familiar face. Cruise is returning to lead another star-studded ensemble cast in the sequel, and as the wait for the film approaches, one Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One actor is excited for audiences to see what’s in store.

Pom Klementieff discussed joining the Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One cast in a new interview with Collider to discuss The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. The Mantis actor recalled her delight at being added to the cast of the upcoming action film sequel, as well as her pleasure working with Tom Cruise on the project. See what Klementieff had to say about it below:

“Oh, he’s incredible to work with. He’s so thoughtful, powerful to see, he’s so kind and so generous, and he’s such an inspiration. He just pushes himself, always challenges himself and yeah, he’s always a constant inspiration. Oh my God, I was so, so, so excited. I was so happy and also so stressed because I wanted to tell everyone, but I had to keep it a secret for at least a few days. But yeah, it was a dream come true for sure.”

With only one trailer for the film released thus far, the characters and plot for Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One have remained largely unknown. Klementieff, on the other hand, proved to be one new character who received significant screen time in the film’s sole trailer, fighting Cruise’s Ethan in a tight alleyway, soaring through the city streets inside an armored vehicle, and fighting a group of men in a train compartment. However, in the Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One trailer, Klementieff was seen interacting with Rebecca Ferguson’s Ilsa & Vanessa Kirby’s White Widow.

According to the footage she appears in for the film, Klementieff is set to play an antagonist to Cruise’s Hunt in Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One, though her devotions are unknown. Given that she’s meeting with the White Widow, a black-market arms dealer, it’s possible she’s a rival party vying for a deadly weapon Ethan is looking to remove from the market, similar to Mission: Impossible — Fallout. It’s unclear whether Klementieff’s unnamed character is working with Esai Morales’ unnamed enemy, herself, or another party.
