An important reveal from the Black Adam post-credits scene has leaked, stirring the online community. The most recent entry in the DC Extended Universe, Black Adam, finally introduces Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the DC antihero and gives the titular character’s origin story. After being imprisoned for 5,000 years, the character is released into the present day and engages in conflict with the Justice Society of America. Aldis Hodge plays Hawkman, Noah Centineo plays Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell plays Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan plays Doctor Fate in the JSA characters that are introduced.

The first Black Adam early reactions are now making their way online, with critics claiming that The Rock is electrifying in the lead role. The DCEU film recently held its world premiere. Johnson has spent many years preparing for his screen debut, and the actor has long claimed that the DC antihero’s entry will alter the franchise’s power dynamics. Additionally, he has continuously hinted at connections between Black Adam and other DCEU characters like Superman and the Justice League. A week will pass before Black Adam opens in theaters, so viewers will have to wait to find out what surprises are in store. One significant revelation, though, appears to have leaked online.

The post-credits scene from Black Adam started appearing online after its global premiere. A significant reveal is made in the scene, but it won’t be revealed here. Variety claims that a number of social media sites, such as Twitter and TikTok, are removing posts that contain video of the Black Adam post-credits scene because they constitute copyright infringement and go against their policies.

Unfortunately, there are far too many leaks of this nature. The circumstances surrounding Black Adam are strikingly similar to last year’s post-credits scene leak for the movie Eternals. The news that Harry Styles had been chosen to play Eros surfaced online shortly after the Marvel movie’s global premiere. For DC and Marvel fans who prefer to watch a movie without having any major reveals spoiled beforehand, these leaks can be extremely frustrating.

While social media platforms make every effort to remove early spoilers and leaks, they frequently spread too quickly to be controlled, making it impossible for fans to avoid them. Perhaps spoilers and leaks are an unavoidable reality for fans in the social media age that they must learn to live with. If there is a silver lining, it is that the anticipation for Black Adam’s significant opening weekend won’t be diminished by the post-credits scene leak. The post-credits reveal for Black Adam will be seen for the first time in theaters the following week for the select few people who have managed to avoid the significant spoiler lurking online.
