What We Know About The Fantastic Four In The MCU
Marvel Studios has kept information about the Fantastic Four reboot largely under wraps, similar to how they do with most MCU films. Before quitting the project, Spider-Man director Jon Watts was set to helm the movie. In 2022, Matt Shakman of WandaVision was chosen officially to create the Fantastic Four. Later, Marvel Studios chose Jeff Kaplan & Ian Springer to pen the Fantastic Four script.
Although this will be a fresh look at the heroes, executive producer Kevin Feige has said it won’t be an origin story. It makes sense that Marvel Studios would want to steer clear of the origin story for the MCU iterations given that Fox attempted to retell it in 2015. This implies that Reed, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, & Ben Grimm have probably been a team for a long time, wherever they may be. It is unclear whether they have been trying to operate as the Fantastic Four for a while or are just beginning their journey. How Would Ryan Gosling Fit Into The MCU?
